Emile Durkheim is known as a classic sociologist and the first professor of sociology in universities. He is also the indirect foundr of some main theories in sociology like Funccionalism and Structuralism. His main fields of study were Division of labour, Social Solidarity, Law and Religions through history and Quality of Social Fact.
His statistical methods in studying the social fact of Suicide, is the first scientific and quantitive approach in sociology and named him in Positvist School.
