Wendelin VanDraanen is a wonderful author who writes books from chapter books through young adult stories. I'd recommend any of them. Gecko and Sticky, Shredderman, Sammy Keyes are several of her series. Some of her young adult titles include Swear to Howdy, Flipped and How I Survived Being a Girl. Kids can relate to her characters and her humor always comes through. Two of her titles have been filmed- Shredderman Rules! was put out by Nickelodeon and Flipped was released fall of 2010 nationwide. This is an author to check out!
