Graduated from University of Detroit Jesuit High School in 1943.
After graduating H.S. in 1943 he joined the Navy.
In 1950 Leonard graduated from the University of Detroit having studied English & Philosphy.
Leonard's first success was "Trail of the Apaches."
He writes his manuscripts only in pen.
