Mark Anthony is an American author living and writing in Colorado. He trained as a paleoanthropologist but along the way grew interested in a different sort of human evolution — the symbolic progress reflected in myth and the literature of the fantastic. He created "The Last Rune" series to explore the idea that reason and wonder need not exist in conflict.
Recently he has written under the pseudonym Galen M. Beckett, coming out with a novel entitled "The Magicians and Mrs. Quent", the sequel "The House on Durrow Street", and a forthcoming sequel titled "The Master of Heathcrest Hall".
He has also written a number of novels based on Dungeons & Dragons published worlds, Forgotten Realms, Dragonlance, and Ravenloft, including Kindred Spirits (with Ellen Porath), Tower of Doom, and two titles in the Harpers series - Crypt of the Shadowking, and its sequel, Curse of the Shadowmage.
