Kathy Tyers is the bestselling author of Star Wars: Truce at Bakura, Star Wars: Balance Point (both of which made the New York Times Bestseller list when they were published) and the Firebird Trilogy. She has written a total of ten science fiction novels, including the original version of Firebird and the Bethany House rewrites.
Kathy earned a degree in microbiology from Montana State University, a Diploma of Christian Studies from Regent College in Vancouver, BC, and is working toward a Master’s degree. In 2001, she received the Mount Hermon Christian Writers Conference’s Pacesetter award. She has played flute in the Bozeman Symphony Orchestra and mentors apprentice students in the Christian Writers Guild. She is currently drafting a new science fiction novel.
