Ira Levin is the author of The Boys from Brazil , The Stepford Wives and A Kiss Before Dying (for which he won the Edgar Award). All of his novels were international bestsellers, including Rosemary’s Baby and Son of Rosemary, selling tens of millions of copies around the world. A number of famous Hollywood movies were adapted from his books, and his play Deathtrap was the longest running comic thriller in the history of Broadway.
Stephen King has described Ira Levin as "the Swiss watchmaker of suspense novels, he makes what the rest of us do look like cheap watchmakers in drugstores".
