Chris Claremont is an award-winning American comic book writer and novelist, known for his 17-year (1975–1991) stint on Uncanny X-Men, far longer than any other writer. Claremont co-created numerous important X-Men characters, and scripted many classic stories, including "The Dark Phoenix Saga" and "Days of Future Past".
