She was born as Flor Bela Lobo out of a regular marriage. Although her father never refused her his loving and affection, he only ackowledged her as his daughter 18 years after her suicide.
Her life was intense and tormented. She transformed her sufferings into beautiful poetry of a neo-romantic style, away from the literary currents used at the moment.
She succeeded in commiting suicide on her 36 birthday, after two failed attempts in previous months.
