An English novelist and children's writer who lives in Cambridge, Walsh read English Literature at St Anne's College, Oxford. Her body of work includes Historical Fiction - Knowldege of Angels (shortlisted for the 1994 Booker Prize), General Fiction, Mystery and Children's Fiction. In 1998, she won acclaim for her completion of Dorothy L. Sayers' unfinished Lord Peter Wimsey/Harriet Vane novel, Thrones, Dominations. She followed it up with to other Wimsey novels - A Presumption of Death; and The Attenbury Emeralds. She is also a Fellow of the Royal Society of Literature.
