Since discovering her mother’s dog-eared paperbacks at the age of nine, Jennifer has made it her life’s mission to read as many historicals as she could find and, finally, write her own. Her ultimate goal? Craft a smart, Victorian-era novel that doesn’t make readers want to cosh an indecisive heroine over the head or fend off the advances of an all-too-alpha hero.
Although trained as a veterinarian, Jennifer juggles writing with a career in infectious diseases and public health. During the past decade, she has investigated disease outbreaks all over the world, from polio in Africa to Rocky Mountain spotted fever in Arizona. She lives in Atlanta with her husband, two daughters who love books (and who expect to get a pony out of mom’s book deal), and a house full of pets.
Jennifer’s amazing agent is Kevan Lyon of the Marsal Lyon Literary Agency. She signed with the fabulous Esi Sogah at Avon in a 3-book deal in April, 2012. Her debut novel WHAT HAPPENS IN SCOTLAND will be the first in the series.
