Todd Allen Pitts graduated from Marylhurst University with a degree in Communications, and he lives with his wife and children in Colorado. After the publication of his debut novel, The Serpent Passage, he continued writing the sequel, The Bloodstone. He was inspired to write The Serpent Passage Series while exploring Mayan ruins and working as a scuba instructor in the Yucatán in 1998.
