Kidd Russell comes from a gifted athletic family with a strong affection for baseball. He was a star athlete in his younger years and was offered tryouts with several major-league teams. However, due to family commitments and health issues, he was not able to pursue these dreams. He remains a huge fan, student, and historian of the game.
