The grandson of former Prime Minster Winston Churchill, Winston Spencer-Churchill was born at Chequers in October 1940. Educated at Eton College and Christ Church, Oxford, he worked as a journalist before become a Conservative Member of Parliament, where he served from 1970 until 1997.
