J.M. August was raised in San Francisco and lives in Los Angeles. Upon graduating from the University of Southern California with a degree in architecture, he began writing "I Heard The Pulse," as a means to explore the contradictions of the Y-Generation or Millennials. "I Heard The Pulse," is his debut novel. He is currently working on his second fictional novel titled, "My Resume."
