Bertena Varney is a freelance writer and author.
Bertena has always had a fascination with vampires. When others would say "Yuck" she would say "Wow". She would see the romance of the vampire, the seduction to being admired by a creature that so many misunderstand.
When she was 8 she found Barnabus Collins of Dark Shadows and she was intrigued. She then found a book with her family name, Varney the Vampire while going through some old books. She then knew she was destined to study vampires.
She turned her Master's paper into a study of the vampire called, "The Search for the Lure of the Vampire". From there she began writing on line and researching all things vampire.
