Karen Cantwell has been writing plays and short stories for many years, some of which were published in various college literary magazines. More recently, her short story “The Recollections of Rosabelle Raines,” was published in the mystery anthology CHESAPEAKE CRIMES: THEY HAD IT COMIN’ (Wildside Press, 2010). TAKE THE MONKEYS AND RUN was her first novel and was inspired, to some degree, by a true monkey sighting in her own neighborhood. When she’s not writing, she spends time with her kids before they hit those years when they pretend they don't know her.
