I worked as a tugboat hand in Singapore and a Peace Corps Volunteer in Polynesia before embarking on a career in journalism. I've served on the editorial staffs of five newspapers, including one of the nation's smallest, The Raton Range (New Mexico), and one of its biggest, The New York Times. I live with my kids and a big grinning poodle in West Seattle. Please check out my web site, adiosnirvana.com, for more information.
