David Safier (born December 13, 1966 in Bremen) is a German (screen)writer and novelist.
He wrote the television series 'Berlin, Berlin' for which he was awarded the Adolf Grimme Award in 2003. 'Berlin, Berlin' also won an International Emmy Award for best comedy in 2004.
He has written three novels, 'Mieses Karma' (Bad Karma) and 'Jesus liebt mich' (Jesus loves me), which together sold two million copies. Other novels by David Safier are 'Plötzlich Shakespeare' and 'Happy Family'.
He lives and works in Bremen, Germany with his wife and two children and their dog.
