Ruth Chrisman Gannet was an illustrator of both children's books and adult books.  Her work was recognized with a Caldecott Honor for My Mother is the Most Beautiful Women in the World in 1946.  She is the step mother of Ruth Stiles Gannet, whom she collaborated with to illustrate the My Father's Dragon series.
