Dr Leo Ruickbie is an historian and sociologist specialising in the field of witchcraft, Wicca, magic and the occult.
He has a PhD from King's College, University of London, for his work on modern witchcraft and magic: L Ruickbie, 'The Re-Enchanters: Formulating a Theory of Re-Enchantment and Testing for its Presence in Modern Witchcraft', Unpublished PhD, King's College, University of London.
He is the author of several books: Witchcraft Out of the Shadows (Robert Hale, 2004); Open Source Wicca (Witchology, 2007); and Faustus: The Life and Times of a Renaisance Magician (The History Press, 2009).
He currently runs the Witchcraft Information Centre and Archive (WICA). He has also publicly exhibited on the history of witchcraft in France in 2008 and 2009.
