Rohase Piercy is a pen name - basically a fancy spelling of 'Rose' plus my maiden name!  In everyday life I answer to Rose Bunker, or Jacqueline Rose Bunker if we're being official. I now live in Brighton, England, with my husband Les, two teenage daughters Morgana and Pip, two cats Percy & Caspar, one dog Spike, and a shed full of racing pigeons!

In my writing, I do like to look at a well known sequence of events, fictional or otherwise, from an alternative point of view!  I like to take a minor character, or someone who has always been presented as incidental to the main action, and look at the story againt through their eyes; or, as in my Sherlock Holmes novel, present the relationship between the main characters from a whole new angle, with a whole new set of possibilities.

Both of my published novels, My Dearest Holmes  and The Coward Does It With A Kiss, went out of print a few years ago, though old copies are still available on Amazon; I have recently republished My Dearest Holmes as a print-on-demand with Booksurge on Amazon, hoping to regenerate some interest in my work after a long stint as a housewife and mother.

I am in the process of trying to find a publisher for my third novel, Before Elizabeth.  This is a Pride & Prejudice pastiche in which the courtship of Elizabeth Bennet and Fitzwilliam Darcy is observed through the eyes of Darcy's cousin Anne de Bourgh, Lady Catherine's 'sickly, cross' daughter whom Darcy was originally expected to marry.  We follow Anne through her childhood and adolescence right up until we come parallel with the visit of Elizabeth Bennet to Rosings described in Pride & Prejudice, and find out what she thinks of Elizabeth and how she copes with her cousin's marriage.  Bit of a sub-plot involving her other cousin Colonel Edward Fitzwilliam.  It was fun to write, and it would be even more fun to see it in print, so wish me luck!

Also I have another alias, Rose Alba, under which name I have a book coming out with the publishing co-operative Asphodel Press, which should shortly be available on Lulu.com and also on Amazon:  Blessings and Invocations for Everyday Life.  This is a joint venture with my friend Penny Barham, and is illustrated by the artist Angela Davis.  It is basically a book encouraging spiritual practice in everyday life, aimed mainly though not exclusively at the Pagan community.  As soon as it's up and ready I'll let you know so you can take a look.

Apart from that, I'm a founding member of the Brighton Goddess Temple, which is currently searching for a permanent bricks-and-mortar home as a place of worship here in Brighton; and a general homebody and housewife, which suits me just fine!

I'd like to take the opportunity to say thanks to everyone who continues to take an interest in my work and post the odd review on the net!  You make my day you lovely people.
