I started out with the usual jobs you get when you can't concentrate in school - grocery clerk, UPS night sort truck loader, then retail management. After a while I decided that was insane, and I went back and finshed college, ending up with a comuter science degree. I also took a couple of Philosophy courses at the time - I am probably the only PHIL101 student to actually took the time to read Plato's Republic from cover-to-cover rather than the Cliff's Notes edition, and I found two or three that stuck with me - Bertrand Russell, Rupert Sheldrake, and Mark Twain being examples.
I spent the next 20 or so years writing programs, including one billing system for a Fortune 500 company. Eventually they decided not to use in-house programming any more, and I was shown the outhouse. Shortly thereafter I was hospitalized with an infection in my leg which damaged my liver.
I have been writing short Dio and Flagon stories since 2000. These were mostly political commentary, or fractured fairy tails. When I was hospitalized in 2006, I made the decision to actually get them published and "Dio's Detective Agency" was completed in February 2008. "Fluffy:Destroyer of Worlds expanded on the Flagon Universe, and is out April 2009, with distribution to on-line retailers in May 2009.
There are two more books in the series planned at this time.
