Hi, Pat McDermott here. My first novel, A Band of Roses, has had a stormy ride getting to readers. The book's first publisher ceased operating three months after the book was released in 2008, but I'm happy to report that my scramble to find these very deserving "Roses" a new home ended successfully last fall. Red Rose Publications released A Band of Roses in February 2009 as an e-book. The new paperback should be out in May.
If Irish High King Brian Boru hadn't perished at the Battle of Clontarf in 1014 A.D., his descendants might still be ruling Ireland. That's the premise of "A Band of Roses."
