Martin Langfield is the author of two unusual thrillers with a strong supernatural twist, The Malice Box and The Secret Fire.
Born in eastern England in 1962, he has been a foreign correspondent and bureau chief for Reuters, the international news service, since 1987, working mostly in the Americas, and has reported from El Salvador, Nicaragua, Mexico, Peru, Cuba, Madrid, Miami, London and New York. He currently works with the company’s Breakingviews commentary team.
At university Martin majored in French and Spanish languages and literature. He's also worked as an English teacher in Paris and studied indigenous literature in Mexico. He has lived in New York since 1999.
