Also known as the Southern Agrarians, the Vanderbilt Agrarians, the Nashville Agrarians, the Tennessee Agrarians, or the Fugitive Agrarians.  The Twelve were a group of writers from Vanderbilt University in the 1920s and '30s, and together produced the book I'll Take My Stand, and a subsequent collection of essays called The Southern Agrarians and the New Deal.  The Twelve Southerners are:
