I've always felt a certain draw to the night, and the creatures that live there. So writing about these beings has always been easy for me. That isn't to say there isn't always a certain level of mysticism in each experience. I've lived with the characters of my books, heard their tales, experienced their up and downs with them.

An amazingly multi talented action packed read that bites….

When I started reading this novel….I was struck by the right off the back intrigue…this eclectic and amazingly riveting write give you the best of all worlds within the Vampire, Werewolves, Witches and even a dash of Voodoo….

I couldn’t help but think of “Charmed” on high octane…I love the structure of the storylines, the plot and the all around action of this incredible novel…

I also love that they are vampires who are witches as well…with different gifts and powers….I found myself getting wrapped up within the lives of the girls as I rooted for them through their journey…

I can’t wait to read the next installment!!! I’m sure it will not disappoint…

Mesmerizingly magical and something to truly sink your teeth into so to speak type of read…An awesome first of a series!!! WaAr

A Triumphantly Amazing and Tragic Love Story that will resonate within your existence Forever…..

I don’t know how to say it any other way except that this is a very happy tragic Love Story….I’ve read others with the same feel, but never in this way….I have to say that for some reason this story truly touched me and my emotions in a way that I haven’t been touched in a long tiempo…I found myself tearing up often, stopping to grieve and rereading and then crying some more….

The tragedy aside, this amazing Love touched something deep within me that will resonate for years to come….for some reason I even loved the “Shadow Person”….I can only explain it this way ( I looked at the shadow person as a metaphoric character that existed to further enhance the body of the story itself with a little more depth…. Rather this is true or not, I’m not sure….but this was how I understood through my reading of this truly amazing novel….

Not only was this a truly amazing gem of a read, it was also very well written and executed from beginning to end….this will definitely be a permanent part of my library that I will reread again in the future……WaAr

    Too Big to Fail

Though this happened in 2008, it is still happening now. Rather than go after bankers, CEOs, Hedge Funds, the Federal Reserve, they sock it to the little people with the excuse, if we "do" something, then the whole system will collapse. The system has collapsed for the little people..it collapsed when we were forced to turn in our gold by Roosevelt in the 1930s under penalty to jail. The system collapsed when income tax bills were 90%; it collapsed when interest rates were 8% in the REgan era and there was the S & L mess. It' collapsed with Ivan Botsky, Michael Milkin (but unlike today's elites, those born into the middle class guys went to jail) It collapsed with World Com, and the tech bubble bursting then the repeal of Glass Stegall and removal of the uptick rule. It collapsed for the little people again and again. AND WHO OF THE ELITES HAVE GONE TO JAIL? he only ones who have not been touched are the ones who have made money...elites...and the institutions they support which they have gotten their political shills to say are "TO BIG TO FAIL." Good book; the basic principles have been the same since the dawn of time...the elites of the culture screw the little folks. The book makes this theme concrete with details in the 21st century.

An Amazingly Magical and Riveting Read!!!

From the onset I was drawn in with wondrous curiosity…. Then kept intrigued with the amazing storylines and fast pace with which “Author Penelope King” pens her awesome read….

Calista the main character with which this story revolves around is charming and a character that you can’t help but fall in love with…. Then she further amazes us the readers with the cast of characters that surround Calista to make this an epic story and beginning to the series that I feel will stand the test of time…

I encourage anyone that loves the action of a great movie with the side order of “Charmed”, Witches and Warlocks and Hunters will truly absorb and love this first installment of “Author Penelope King’s” (Spellbound Series)….

Charming, gritty and romantic as well…. A smorgasbord of literary brilliance and A Must Read!!! I have already started Book #2 “Kiss the Crystal Sun” of the “Spellbound Series” and I can truly say that you will not be disappointed. I know that I’m not, sonrisa….
