    Twice the Trouble

    by Sandra Dailey
    • Rated 4 stars

Lacey Carlyle has more trouble than she can shoulder when the farm she has built into a viable business is bought for development. Desperate, she wants the new owner to consider selling to her only he’s Alex Benson, who abandoned her thirteen years ago.
Alex wants revenge for Lacey’s betrayal. He’s never gotten over her and hopes forcing her into a short-term marriage will free him from his past hurt. She never answered his letters and when he was badly injured in an explosion she ignored his plight.
The biggest problem is each still feels the sexual attraction that overpowered them in the past. Lacey can’t tell Alex their lovemaking resulted in pregnancy and the birth of twins she’s been raising alone.
Conflict arises at every turn. Family interference makes problems worsen and neither Lacey nor Alex is ready to trust again.
The resolution results from a building tension and returning love. It was a satisfying read and I’d recommend it to anyone looking for romance.

Since this was my first venture Into Steampunk I didn't know what to expect, but quickly fell in love with the heroine and her feisty attitude. I enjoyed reading how she manages to work through her problems and find a home and an interesting man. I'm really eager to read the next.

Ben Dobson has created a fascinating world. I follow the adventures of this less than perfect hero with a growing liking for his faults and weaknesses. The plot crosses a world I found well created, through adventures to end in an unexpected twist. I'd recommend it.

Mona Risk has written a charming, heartwarming story about twins. It shows the doubts and needs of a sweet heroine and the resolution made me smile.

An engrossing quick read. Enough suspense and thwarted love to keep me reading to find what happens next.

Maeve Grayson has brought to life her characters in this lovely time travel. I was grabbed by the resistance of Maxwell to any suggestion of marriage until her is presented with Trish. As a result of her travels through time he must join with her spirit to save her life. I won't tell you how their conflict is resolved only that it is a sweet ending. I'd recommend it to any romance lover.

#Review: No More Lies by Mona Risk
Dr. Olivia Crane is hiding a secret. She survived an abusive relationship and escaped with her infant daughter. She has a successful career as a psychiatrist and has put the past behind her. Giving up Dr. Luc George, the man she loves to protect her daughter seemed to be right until he returns from France.
Their attraction instantly flares. He wants to resume their relationship, but she is afraid to upset her daughter by exposing her lies. All her doubts resurface.
To her horror, her child’s father has been referred to her Department for an evaluation on his violent behavior. Olivia fears he will recognize her and discover he has a daughter.
Dr. Luc George has never stopped loving Olivia and this time he intends to keep her. Learning her secret, he insists only telling the truth to her daughter will enable Olivia to be free of her fears. He takes over the difficult case for Olivia. His insistence she reveal the truth forces her to tell her daughter about her father.
The situation explodes, but Mona Risk handles the conflict with skill. The ultimate resolution to Olivia and Luc’s love is nicely woven and left me satisfied. I’m looking forward to reading more work by Mona Risk.

#Review - Storm Riders by Karen Michelle Nutt
Storm Rider Samantha Skelly’s mission is to mend rifts in time. Sent on the power of a thunderstorm to 1879 to rescue Ace McTavish is one more job. Save the package, mend the rift and leave without any personal exchange. Everything is fine until she poses as a local ‘lady of the night’ and kisses Ace. Their attraction is instant. Sparks fly as Sam fights to keep her distance despite her growing passion.
Ace is thankful he’s been saved from hanging, but he can’t leave without his kidnapped niece. He understands there is no future for him with a woman from the future, but loves her anyway. Sam and her partner reluctantly agree to help him save his niece since it will keep the rift closed.
Karen Michelle Nutt has provided an interesting and satisfying read. She ties up all the threads of the story and leaves the reader with a happy ending.
