It was Down and Dirty. I am really not a time travel fan and Hill has a way of explaining things with an "I don't know how it happened it just did" type statement (like a viking woman going from the 11th century to this century and being able to speak english with very little difficulty with the explanation that it must just be a bonus from the time traveling gods...or something similar) which doesn't satisfy my anally asked 'but why????'. I don't mind the special forces action at all but the silliness of some of the statements (I can only tolerate the viking woman calling Zachary 'Zach-hairy' so much) tended to get on my nerves. Plus Zachary was so excruciatingly handsome he was dubbed 'Pretty Boy' which when added to his last name made him Pretty Boy Floyd. I just think that the book didn't feel balanced enough. The silliness overwhelmed the more serious parts of the book for me making it feel that the book would have been better if it had been full on silly or an extreme SEALs rom/susp. One or the other. I hope this is making sense. It's late and my brain gets mushy while I await Mr Sandman to take pity on me and let me fall asleep sooner rather than 7am like normal.

Thank you so much for being ok with waiting for those books. After the holidays the 3 viking books are yours. Sandra Hill's books are hit or miss with me. I really liked Tale of Two Vikings but really disliked one of her SEAL viking books that I read not that long ago. Really liked the couple Cajun books I read but disliked Frankly My Dear. Many of the reviews of those books are completely opposite of what I thought. I'm just a strange duck though.

I hate that our library is only open until 5pm on Fridays too. I like to spend a couple hours in the evening there and fridays just really mess me up. Mostly because i can't get up that early to go in the morning (because I was also still awake at 4 something, which is pretty typical of me.) I'd love to work at the library but the hours would get me.

I didn't see that you and Jonetta made a group for that series. I love that series but am a few books behind. I'll seek it out for sure.

thank you so much Miranda. Are you in a huge hurry to read those viking books? I have been horribly slow at reading lately and it's taking me awhile to finish the two on your wishlist. Was wondering if it would be ok to send them after the holiday season. I know that is a full month away and if you would like them sooner I can work with that.
