I Landed up in the BOOKS WORLD OF DREAMS from the CRICKET FIELD.Credit for this will go to my Grandfather Late MR BIJON BIHARI BANNERJEE(1899-1980),A voracious reader,a graduate in English from MUIR COLLEGE ALLAHABAD UNIVERSITY in the early 1920s who worked in UP Govt.Secretariat and owned a palatial bunglow at Shivpuri,La Touche Road, Lucknow from where I saw the books of his own library-from Charles Dickens-David Copperfield,Great Expectation to Charles Darwin-Voyage of the Beagle,Origin of the Species, for he saw in me, the sparks of a orator,reader,sportsman,academician, even, when I made him read, Don Bradman's Farewell to Cricket-An Autobiography."Putting people first" ,"Value your customer and be close to him or her" ,"Build on everyday,every moment on any relationship" ,"Make transactions in everyday life, effective.", "Give respect to each individual for his individuality, as he/she is different","Market Friendly Capitalism", with least govt controls-"That govt is the best, which controls, the least", are my Adam Smithsonian Philosophies.A member of the British Library,Mayfair Building,Lucknow,UP,INDIA, from 1977 to 2001, when it closed down, due to a funds crisis,I am Professor of Economics,International Business,Management viz.Leadership,motivation & Communication,Strategic Mgt.,OB,OD,Industrial Psychology,Human Resource Management,Economic Environment of Business-EEB bcoz Mgt. is inter-disciplinary its made up of over 3000 disciplines and I have a passion for it, by profession with over a decade long teaching,research and paper writing and published papers experience I always emphasise on rationality,logic,reason,understanding with OCTAPACE HRD VALUES-Openness,Collaboration,Trust,Authenticity,Proactivity,Authority,Competitiveness and experimentation/inventions/innovations.I love reading Business,Economics,Strategy,Human Resource Management,Personality Development-Viz.7-Habits of Highly Successful,8th Habit,Trust,Principle Centred Leadership-Stephen Covey People,Interview & GD Cracking at Jobs,Management Fictions viz.The Monk Who Sold His Ferrari-Robin Sharma,Who Moved My Cheese-Spencer Jhonson.
I will fail in my duty if I do not mention the names of Prof AK SENGUPTA Economist,Head of Dept. of Economics,Lucknow University (1987-till date) long term guidance from him in academics as a student and then as a teacher I can never forget the days when he used to be my student in my classes on Economics,Marketing,HRM,Strategic Mgt.,Indian Economy,Indian Economic Reforms and used to put up questions ib front of my other students and I always gained so much loads of experience in learning to be a better person.
