AthenasDaughter

Some things I love: Creamy hot latte that tastes like dessert; robin's egg blue skies with big fluffy clouds; crossword puzzles hard enough to keep me guessing but not so hard I give up; a new season of "Lost" or "Heroes"; all the lights turning green and no one in my way; uninterrupted solitude; people who "get" me; exploring an unfamiliar... more »

As soon as I finished this book, I wanted to create one of my own just like it, It's not high literature, but something about this book stays with you, and makes you want to share it with every woman you know. It's not even really a book you READ...more like just enjoy, as you will finish it in less than an hour...but the experience is like no other book I've read, and inspired my creativity and and my emotions and deserves every one of the 5 stars.

One of the best books of this genre in the last year. Meaning, the writing is succinct and complete, compelling and engaging. A story that needs to be told, a book that needs to be read for that reason. I don't think Nazario should be faulted for not being an exceptional author - the read is worth 5 stars.

Beautifully written, tender story about a country boy in the 30's.

A star because I couldn't put it down...a star because I never got bored...a star because I never got lost or confused...A star because it made me talk and think about it for weeks after...and another star because I like the subject. Great classical literature? Nope. A wonderfully fun read? You bet.
