“I read this book on a flight back from visiting a friend who had just come out of colon cancer surgery. He'd been told that despite the surgery he was terminal and not expected to survive 6 months. This book was scary, revealing, comforting and intimate. It helped me deal with the overwhelming sense of despair and impending loss. ”
