After Blink, this was a disappointment. Too verbose. Saying too little of value.

At the same time a very simple and a very complex book. It's poignant tale of growing up (how many times have we heard that?), of discovering one's bearing in turbid waters... of emotions, of love.

A poor man's Foucault's Pendulum. A book made for movie, with nothing to offer. Thriller spiced up with history and conspiracy theories.

    In one word: trash.
    In two words: utter trash.
In three words: utter stupid trash
Does not deserve review more than three words.

I'd say 3 and a half, but for old times loyalties, I'm giving it a four (and because 3 and a half is not possible. I owe a lot to this book, although, now I don't think that highly of it, at least in literally terms. But for all it's worth, this is a book teenagers should read, and more importantly grow out of.

I read the book after the movie and I was like, was the movie really made from this book? The movie is good on its own, maybe, because of acting, but another example of hollywoodization of real life story. Read the book instead if you have too. A bit long though.
