hi ! have recently found 'The Hungry Tide' in library. I liked it. It is a lot different than the kind of books I have read. wanted to ask you about 'Roots' . Heard a lot about it, do you like it?

Hey Asuph, u asked about "Beach Boy". Yes it was ssm's reco and I did read it. It's a nice coming-of-age novel set in Bombay in 60's (I think). Its quite a charming novel.

What all Amitav Ghosh's book but no "Shadow Lines" ?? Why , why why?? I have just read Ghosh's Shadow Lines and Hungry Tide. Was not so impressed with Hungry tide but Shadow Lines is amazing.. Re-reading it these days..
