“I was highly disappointed in what I thought was a promising read. I love May/December romances & was pretty much disgusted by the characters, events, & message of this book. It wasn't even a fun chic-lit read! The male character was crude & a total prig. Who wants to read a 'fun, sexy, romp' when the main romantic interest is such a douche? The heroine did nothing but give me a headache. I gave this book away so it may torture somebody else. ”

A Million Little Pieces

“I don't know why anyone liked this book, especially pre-controversy. It is one of the most poorly written pieces I have ever read. Repetitive, dull, & over-dramatic I'm not sure why Oprah was attracted to it. There are hundreds of drug addiction stories, hundreds of personal & internal struggles, & hundreds on redemption. Why did she pick this one? Only good thing about this book is the cover. ”
