I tend to agree; probably my least liked McC book. The bad guys win and the good guys either get killed or fold... In fact, I'd started to wonder if he'd lost his touch when "The Road" came out; arguably his most hopeful book. Go figure… Thanks for the post and I look forward to chatting/arguing w/you again soon!
