The way he can remember things so clearly is amazing. When i picked up this book, i thought it would be just like any other horror story about an evil family member, but Burroughs' sincere longing for a father overtook it. This book was fast paced, keeping you on your toes the entire way through. Definitely a good read.

This book was beautifully written. The story line starts immediately, and it continues to go at a quick pace, i read it in only a day. Although the story is short it has many ups and downs, and keeps you wanting more. Overall, i would recommend reading it. I cant wait to read the next book. :)

I had to read this book for my english class, and it was horrible. It gets better towards the end when everything starts to come together, but its just too long and couldnt hold my attention. If you're looking for something to read for fun, in your own spare time, i wouldn't read it.

Glass, written by Ellen Hopkins is a gut wrenching sequel to Crank. Kristina and her alter ego, Bre, go on a wild ride through life dealing with a new baby, crazy boyfriends, and the addictive monster. This book tells an amazing story about a young girl who got her life off track, and it is an amazing read. I recommend this book to everyone, because it is most defiantly a 5 out of 5 star book

“Alice Sebold tells her heartbreaking life story in the book Lucky. As a freshman in college Alice is a very gifted poet, and is excelling in her classes. On graduation day, as she celebrates a year of hard work, things turn for the worse. After spending time at a friend’s last day of school party, she is attacked while walking home. A man grabbed her from behind, and as she fought back he wounded her internally and externally. After struggling on the pathway for 15 minutes or so, the man took Alice into a tunnel that was once an underground entry to an amphitheater, and raped her. This event will change the rest of her life.

This book was impossible to keep away from. Once you read the first page, you’re hooked. As Alice Sebold restates her emotions, you feel them with her. Lucky will make you smile at Alice’s sarcastic remarks, but you surely will cry after understanding what she went through, and is still going through today.

So many people have judged things without even trying to understand them and you are clearly reminded in the pages of this book. I recommend this book to anyone, whether it be a boy, or girl, victim, or friend, or maybe just in for a good read. Lucky will touch everyone’s heart. I give it a 5 out of 5 star rating.
