This is a fantastic book! I listened to the audio version. Aside from my 1-hour commute each way to work, I actually wanted to spend my lunchbreaks in my car so I could keep listening to the book. I don't think the ending could've been better.

A great book all the way to the end. It's a little long, but the time goes so fast. I'm putting this in the top 10 list!

Much like Visions of Sugar Plums, I just don't care for the story line. But, devoted as I am to reading her books, I can't NOT read it.

I can't even tell you how many times I started crying through this story. I read a few years ago before I had my little boy, so I;m interested in how I'd react to it now...I don't think I'd be able to finish the book. The story makes your heart ache. The worst part is that this story is true. Not only to the author, but to so many kids in the world.

A great read. Can't give it the full 5 stars, though b/c parts of the book dragged out endlessly. Also, the ending just didn't seem right.

I feel completely ripped off! The book was great until the ending when the killer reveals themself. It's almost as if Patterson hit deadline day and still hadn't figured out who he was going to pen as the killer, so he picked a name out of a basket and finished the book in an hour. I normally love his books, but I've been duped with this one!

Excellent, yet tragic story. Definitely not something to read if you're looking for an "upper."

Loved this story! Highly recommended if you're looking for a ghostly romantic story. The parallel between the eras was what I enjoyed the most.

Read this in junior high and loved it. This book sent me into a VC Andrews frenzy. Coming across it on Shelfari makes me wonder how I would like this book as an adult. I may have to read it again!

This was not an on-the-edge-of-your-seat type of book, so I can understand some of the negative reviews this book has gotten. However, I didn't think it was all that bad. It's a good story, but it was a little slow at times.
