A gut-wrenching romance that pulls the reader in immediately and keeps them guessing. From the very first page, the reader feels intense compassion for Angel and a desire to see her overcome her problems and find happiness with Michael. It is very moving to see her start to soften towards him. Although marketed as an inspirational romance, this book is not heavy-handed or preachy. The hero's faith is simply a part of him. The book does not seek to convert the reader, so much as it seeks to explore the two protagonists.

Barbara Ehrenreich goes undercover in low-paying jobs to see if she can make ends meet and fearlessly exposes the hardships people in these jobs face. A must-read.

Freelance writer Jaine Austen has taken on another job as a sleuth. An amusing and lighthearted mystery, perfect to while away an afternoon.

A childhood favorite I have never outgrown.

A moving romance between a wounded (physically and emotionally) hero and a strong but imperfect heroine. Extremely touching and sweet. Also features a unique time period--post civil war.

I couldn't get into the writing style. I gave up after around 50 pages. The author's voice just seemed too distant, so I didn't ever really feel any emotion from the characters.

I really loved this book. There was a charming secondary romance. One minor thing that bothered me, however, was the description of the hero's mustache. Not attractive.

I really liked these stories. They were cute little fairy tales from the wizarding world. I wish there had been a few more.

Could not finish. I gave up by page 75 because I hadn't connected with either of the protagonists yet.

Read the Gibson story. Good idea, but it felt rushed. It would have been better as a full-length novel.
