Wow. I was enjoying the story in the first half of the book and then I realized that though a work of fiction, it became absurd. One woman in less than thirty years of age encountering :Korean cultural issues: subservance of woman, arranged marriage, women's denial of education, kaenisig(sic),prostitution, picture brides,racisim,Japo-Korean relations, domestic abuse, unfair pay for women, the list goes on and on. One woman and one story. I wish the author had focus on a well told story instead of trying to get every policially correct event included. Took a good story and needed to stop .

I enjoyed some of her stories but I had difficulty relating to her style of writing. Was hoping for more , may need to reread in the future. Love the idea of celebrating each day and not waiting for a big event.

Great book. Loved the story Larsson ablity to keep you hooked. It has all the elements of a mystery, thriller and love story all in one. Loved the setting in Sweden.

I was so moved after reading this book. I think it had to be one of the most life changing books I have ever read. It really has inspired me to really look at my own life and question : Can I do more?

This was my second reading and still felt the same. I thought it was enjoyable but feel it was overrated. I enjoyed the Gurnsey historical elements but the story wasn't overly captivating.
