Outstanding sefer. This is a must read for anyone who wants to understand Chassiishe and the way established by the Baal Shem Tov.

A wonderful story about a young girl and her grumpy old grandfather and the change in their relationship when she sees him dancing with the Torah on Simchat Torah.

A very good book for those who teach about the Torah to children. I used it when I taught 2nd and 5th grade Jewish Studies. Heck, I even used it when I was writing sermons! The book does not get into all the intricacies of the text; however, for approaching the subjects in the Torah with children, it is an outstanding resource.

After hearing about this book for many, many years, and having it thrown in my face by every anti-Semite attempting to debate ANY subject regarding the Jews, I finally decided to read the "Protocols". You see, you can't debate a book if you have never read it.

This book reminds me of an old joke:

A man walks up to his friend in the Warsaw ghetto. His friend is reading a Nazi propaganda newspaper. Astonished, he asks his friend: "Why do you read that trash, it is full of nothing but lies!" His friend looks at him, shrugs his shoulders and says: "I read the ghetto paper; it is full of nothing but bad news and it makes me very depressed. Then I read the Nazi paper and it says we own all the banks, own the apartment buildings, and control the governments of the world; and I feel much better."

This is the fraud that will not die. The more it is proven to be a lie and a fraud, the more some people think that it must be true. I am sorry to say that I do not think this lie will ever disappear from the world; it will always be trotted out to justify actions taken against the Jewish people.

Bear Heart is a very dear friend of mine. In the summer of 2006 at a gathering in Michigan I was named Bear Heart's personal Rabbi. This book is an amazing spiritual journey starting on the Trail of Tears and continuing through to the present. It will make an impression on you!

My partner in the 4 Corners comics recommended that I read this book. As a child of the Silver Age of comics, a cartoonist and children's book author, I thought it would be an interesting read and to see how accurate it portrayed the creative process. The book is outstanding! If you ever wanted to know how the creation process of comic books works, this book will show you a very accurate description. Many times my partner and I would say: "Charbon must be spying on our sessions and writing them down!"

Will Eisner exposes one of the greatest hoaxes in history. The more the "Protocals" are exposed as a fraud, the more some people try to prove they are real. Eisner takes you on a historical quest to trace the Protocols when it was originally published as a satire of the French government, to its appearance in Russia where it was rewritten and used as a weapon of the Czar's secret police, and on and on until it has infected the world. Will has put his writing and artistic talents together to create his most important work. If you were a fan of Will Eisner, out of respect to him, you should read this book.

Other than having the names of the main characters right, the book is complete bunk. Many of the events described in the book are completely fabricated. This is no more that a self-hating and secular Jew trying to get his tenure at a university in a Christian community by ingratiate himself to the faculty through the denigration of the Chassidum and Jews in general. If you want the real story of Postville, read "Boychiks in the Hood".

If you have ever wondered how there came to be such a wide gap between Christianity and Judaism, this book will explain it in detail. The book is very detailed with historical figures, events, dates and places, that it may become boring to all but the hard-core history buff. However, if you can make it through all the historical references, you will be rewarded by a much clearer understanding of the Christian church and the decisions to divorce it completely of any reference to Judaism.

If you are not a fan of history, you will probably find this boring as all heck. If you are a fan of history, you will find this book an indispensable source of trivia. This book will make you take a whole new look at what you thought you knew about history. How did two men's dislike for each other cause such a crushing military defeat that it was immortalized in poem to celebrate outstanding bravery? How did a loose keg of brandy cause the retreat of an entire army? If these questions make you curious and scratch your head and wonder, this is the book for you.
