This novel was fantastic, it had just about everything I love in a book. It was romantic, had suspense, and was one of those futuristic kind of books. It reminded me a lot of one of my favorite books called "Awaken." It was all about a world where almost everything was virtual or technology based. "Matched" was almost the same thing along with the fact that everything is decided for you.
The characters in this were so charming, I felt as though I could fit them to some of my friends and be sucked into the book. Ally Condie had a terrific idea of making this revolve around a love triangle. That made it al the more exciting and suspenseful.
At some points in the book came parts where the Officials really made you want to jump in the book and knock them out. The fact that you don't have choices in this book makes it more exciting since you want to rebel against the Society too. This is one of the best books I've ever read, and I'm really looking forward to reading "Crossed," which I just got today!

This book was actually a bit scary and sad. The author really knew how to make it realistic yet far-fetched. I really like how he would tell the story with normal print but then add in a new paragraph in bold to tell his thoughts. The author is humorous and has a sarcastic tone when he's telling his thoughts, which of course makes it humorous. My favorite part in the book is when he says, "No of course it can't. The moon can eat children, and fingers can open doors, and people's heads can be put back on. But rain? Talk? Don't be ridiculous. Good thinking, Gretel dear, good thinking." Of course that doesn't make much sense if you haven't read the book, but I thought it was just hilarious.
I found that some parts of the book were extremely gory, which I don't really have a problem with, but it wasn't a very positive book. But it was exciting and I finished it in about 3 hours, but it's not my favorite book in the world. But overall, if you like thrillers and fairy tales along with humor, then this would be a good pick for you.

This book was one that actually kept me reading. The author often had two different stories going on at once so that the chapter about one thing would end in a suspenseful way that kept you reading past the next chapter on a different matter in order to find out what happens.
Michael Scott is a very skilled author when it comes to detail. There wasn't a single time when I didn't see an exact image of a scene in my head. The only issue I had while reading this book was that he uses a couple different names for almost every character. I often had to stop and think about who he was talking about or else I would be confused. Overall this was a really well-written book, and I plan to read the rest of the series!

P.S. This was also a book I read for an English project, and I was very pleased that we were to choose any book we wanted versus choosing one out of a dull list. While reading this book, it didn't seem like book report material (boring) so I'm convinced that my project will go well!

This book was not as good as the first one, but it came with about as much suspense! The part with the statue of Sapphique is the best part! Read it to find out what it was! :D

This book was so mysterious and suspenseful! I was constantly reading and wanted to come back to reading it if I did put it down! It was really cool how the pieces were starting to fit together right off the bat.

This book would be a five star for someone a little younger than me, since this book is about fifth grade girls.

This was extremely good but really depressing and kind of creepy at times. If you have a fear of the ocean, don't read this book :S

This was a VERY interesting book. I love the whole "secret hallways" kind of thing.
