    Matt,

Sounds like you keep reading a lot. I continue to slowly go through Taylor's, SOURCES OF THE SELF, a Charles Todd mystery novel and Ken Follet espionage novel, and now a new biography of one of my favorite fiction writers, John Cheever, CHEEVER. a Life. How is it going in Washington? Do you still have the same job? I am keeping busy here. I suppose you were sad about the Duke-North Carolina game last weekend. Now we will see about the NCAA tournament; March Madness is here. Take care. /Jack

Found it pretentious and overwritten (not to mention sesquipedalian). Ridiculous situations and unbelievable characters are all well and good, but I couldn't abide the portentous way the author handled what was, basically, an uninteresting love story draped around "exotic" locations and trendy memes.

I have the two books on your wish list in Toledo. Remind me and I'll give them to you at Christmas

Cool. I'll do the same, I guess. When I'm in Toledo at Christmas (will be there for just one day -- 12/23) I'll upload the books from there. I wish I had kept track of everything I read in grad school.

Are you going to upload just books you like or everything you've been reading lately? I have a list of the ~330 books I've read in the last 5y or so, but many of the books I really like I read before that...
