I'm so sorry, but if I don't hear from you by tomorrow morning (Monday am), I'm afraid I will need to move on to someone else to choose the author . . .I'm hopeful that maybe you are just away for the weekend and will be back tonight.

    Hi Armenator,

We've got a main author and a theme. The main author is Kazuo Ishiguro. The theme is Authors Who Made Time Magazine's "All-Time 100 Novels" List.

You can pick any novelist on this list that you like and preferably that has written more than three books:

    http://www.time.com/time/2005/100books/the_complete_list.html

Can't wait to hear who you pick!!

Please delete this post once you've read it because we like to keep these things under wrap until the announcement. I just didn't have a way to send you a private message.

Hi Armenator! I'm from the Author Author group and wanted to welcome you to our group. April's "featured" author is Italo Calvino, and we have two "secondary" authors, Mario Vargas Llosa and Naguib Mahfouz. If you're interested, you can choose a book written by one of these three authors, and after you've read it, please come post a review and star rating so the rest of us in the group know what you read and whether you liked it or not. Happy Reading!

You have good taste in books. I really liked "The Gargoyle", too. Willa Cather is one of my favorites also- particularly "My Antonia". Keep in touch.

I'm so excited you joined. I've become obsessed with this site. I love looking through everyone's shelves remembering what I've read or deciding what to read.
