However this list is of books I can not live without. Some of these books I have read many times especially Gordon Merrick, Maya Angelou and Thoureau.

    I haven't read any Merrick, which was why I asked. I had a lot of friends who read them back in the 1980s. I really do have to read some Merrick along with some Heyer.

    For gay romance i would have to say The Price of Temptation by MJ Pearson, but I'm very biased.
