I'm the AP English teacher at a local high school. I guess you could say being a voracious reader is an occupational hazard. It's probably more accurate to say that my being an English teacher was the inevitable result of my life-long hunger for books. From the tiny library available in my hometown's town hall to the larger city library nearby through university collections and amazon.com's inexhaustible wealth, I continue to indulge in my addiction to the printed word.
I can't say that I have a favorite genre. I read everything from old school fantasy to classics to poetry to modern pulp fiction. I always welcome comments and conversation about the books listed and recommendations for new works to explore. « less
