I can't tell if I'm sending this to your public or private notes. I did send your information to my son but now my daughter is interested in talking to you. She is trying to decide what to get into in college. She's a junior in high school. I can send you her personal e-mail or you could send it to my e-mail instead. She is also going to talk to a couple down the street from us. She's known their daughter for 16 years. Both of the parents are in (different types of) graphic design.

Yes! The Paranormal Mystery group seems to doing really well. I was surprised in the interest level. I did not expect 90 members is just over 2 weeks. As to my participation: 1) I yack a lot. 2) It's one of the best ways to keep a group alive. Thanks for the encouraging words :)

Hi! It's nice to see you in this group too :)
The group, as you know, is new but apparently Paranormal Mystery is a sub-genre a lot of other people are interested in too.

Thanks for your note on the Golden Compass. I have not read those books. I just wondered what other people were thinking since there is all this talk about the author being an atheist. We do seem to have similar reading interests: sci fi, fantasy, history, etc. I have read Patrick O'Brien's books, LOTR, etc.

My Dad was a sailor so I spent a lot of time on boats when I was a kid, but it's done me no good at all! I even studied the diagram of the boat to help me - but never mind. I'm just enjoying the book. The character studies are very acute. And I love anything historical.

Too many books, too little time! I'm actually reading Patrick O'Brien now, for the very first time. I'm really enjoying it - though I skip most of the stuff about the top-rigging etc

Thought I'd come in and say "hi" since I see your name on so many books I like! I'm also a lover of fantasy and historical fiction - I'm a sucker for anything with a bit of bodice-ripping in it :)

Hello, Aprillee--I saw your recommendation of Dunnett at another site. We're like drug pushers, aren't we? "C'mon, just read the first 100 pages of Game of Kings! You'll be hooked!"[g]
