I enjoyed the journey the characters experienced, but it took me awhile to really "like" Harper. My favorite character was Jake. I would read another book by this author.

This cute spin-off series to The Immortals continues with a new adventure. Riley is a fun character and I enjoy her antics. This story is a quick read that has a positive message for pre-teens.

This psychological thriller is a page turner! The characters are created with layers and complex relationships. The ending was realistic with the rebuilding of relationships rather than a happily-ever-after scenario. The twists and turns kept me guessing throughout. Nothing better than a good mobster story!

Mr. Hart is exceptionally talented and one of my favorite authors!!! I loved The Last Child and Down River and cannot wait to read more!

This YA story reminds me of a graphic novel style book with all the humorous illustrations throughout. The main character Rafe has a huge imagination and overall his antics in school are pretty harmless. The story did have some really great moments at the end between mother and son.

However, working at a school I was bothered by it being referenced as a prison, but I understand that children do feel that way sometimes…Overall, this book would be the most popular with pre-teen boys than any other readers.

This is the second book I have read by this author. I really enjoyed the twist at the end of the story. There were more characters that I disliked in this book than liked which made me give it a lower rating. This was a fast paced story full of suspense. I did disagree with a decision made by a character in the last few pages...

I really enjoyed reading The Queen of the Big Time, the Valentine series and her YA series which all have enjoyable characters who kept me entertained with interesting story lines.

I think it is nice that her debut novel’s setting is her hometown, but this storyline and characters did not keep me interested. It is not a horrible book, but I found the pace of the story was too slow and I was not invested in knowing what was going to happen next with the characters. I would have been hesitant to try another one of her books if this was the first time I had read anything by her and I am not going to read the rest of this series.

I really enjoy reading this author and the accurate medical details in her stories. This one was another good story, but predictable at times. I like the addition of Detective Tam and hope he appears in future books. I have read the more recent books in this series and plan to read the earlier books to catch up. So far The Surgeon is my favorite! I also really love the TV series, Angie Harmon is an excellent Rizzoli.

I really enjoyed this story, Dragon and Anastasia deserved a chance to shine. This is a very quick read that leaves the reader anxiously waiting for Destined to be released to find out what Dragon does next. These novellas are a great idea, looking forward to Lenobia’s story in January.
