I am an avid reader of books. Books have always been a very important part of my life.My parents were the first to introduce me to the world of books. I started out reading comics and story books for children from the age of 7.
With time I graduated to reading Nancy Drew and Agatha Christie. But it was in college that I really started reading and since then have been reading and reading and reading. My husband encourages me to read as he himself does not have any inclination to read books. Now that I am the mother of two boys so the number of books i read a month has reduced to 1 or 2 only but i keep on buying books whenever i come by a book shop or a book fare. I alwas need to have atleast 4 unread books on my shelf so that i feel good and dont have to worry that what i would do once the current book I am reading gets over.
I like reading fiction, suspense, thrillers and classics. My all time favourite book is "Pride and Prejudice". I am completely in love with Mr. Darcy. I really like the books written by Indian Authors like Vikram Seth, Anita Desai, Arundhati Roy, Jhumpa Lahiri and also the new breed of writers whose books generally are known as chick lit.
My biggest love is books. Other than that i love music especially old hindi film music. I love watching movies.
