If you can't tell, I LOVE to read. It's just one of the many things I love though(: Whenever you see me, there will always be a book too! I always have one with me.

Along with reading books, I love to review them. I have a blog, www.anotherpageisused.blogspot.com. I put a lot of work into and if I do say so myself, it's pretty amazing!... more »

    GONE.

That's what happens to everyone in the town of Perdido Beach.

Except for the young. Teens, middle schoolers, toddlers. All left alone.

No cops, no doctors, no teachers, no parents. No one.

No Internet, no phone, no television. No way to reach the outside world.

    Bullies rule as hunger threatens.

    Creatures lurk as animals mutate.

Teens are changing too. Developing powers that should defy the laws of the universe. Powers grow in strength every day.

    A fight is growing.

    Rich against poor.

    Bullies against weak.

    Powerful against powerless.

But they soon find out that every ones time in running out.

The minute you were born you disappear.

Just like everyone else before you...

I LOVED this book. The first time I started reading it, earlier this year, I couldn't get into it. But this time I couldn't put it down. It was addicting!
I had to know what was going to happen and how some of the characters were connected. This book definitely had A LOT of surprises in it. I didn't know what could possibly happen next. I think everyone should read this book and I can't wait for the next one in the series.

    Bloodlust.
    Dark Forces.

Both are happening at the House Of Night.

People Zoey Redbird use to love are turning into her new enemies.

Sworn enemies are also changing. Becoming friends. People to trust.

Zoey's strength will be challenged. Her power. Her everything.

Stevie Ray, her best friend and old roommate, is undead. Zoey helps her try to hold on to the little humanity that she still possesses.
Even though she has no idea how.

    Zoey can't ask for help.

She can't tell anyone about Stevie Ray. Or about anything else that she finds out about while she's at the House Of Night.

Trust doesn't seem to exist anymore.

As if all of that wasn't enough for Zoey to deal with, she now has THREE boyfriends.

A situation that can turn into a social disaster.

    For everyone.

Zoey starts to find that full grown vampyres are dying. Actually dying!
    Which should be impossible.

But now Zoey and her friends start to realize that impossible doesn't exist for them anymore.

I really like this series. But by the third book some stuff seemed a little repetitive. It was a good book once you got past that. But I like the first two books better. The series is well written but sometimes there's a feeling that you don't have to read them in order or as a series. A lot is retold or something like that. But P.C. Cast and Kristin Cast are still really talented writers. I can't wait to read the next book in the series.

Your Dreams Are Not Your Own.

    Not All Dreams Are Sweet.

Having to live every one's dreams every night is getting old for 17-year-old Janie.

She has to deal with the falling dreams. The naked dreams. The sex-crazed dreams.

She's seen enough dreams to last her for the rest of her life.

But, Janie can't tell anyone what happens to her every time someone around her falls asleep.

They wouldn't believe her or they would think she's a freak. Which is even worse.

So Janie lives her life alone.

With a mother who doesn't pay attention to her. A best friend who lives next door but is also best friends with Janie's enemy.

One day Janie gets sucked into a nightmare. Worse then one that she has ever witnessed before.

But not only is Janie a witness she's also a participant.

Trying to control her "power", as some would call it, and trying to help others in the process is not as easy as she would hope.

Then the person she's trying to help becomes more important to her then anyone ever has.

Making the situation even more of a struggle for Janie.

When I first started reading this book I didn't think I would like it. I thought it was going to be a stupid read and that i would really hate it. BUT when I started to read it i was amazed at how the author wrote it. I felt like I was actually Janie a couple times. This was another one day read for me. Not because it was so boring but because I couldn't possibly put it down no matter how hard I tried. Which didn't make my mother very happy. I think that everyone would really love this book. Because if I started reading this book with a negative attitude but ended up loving it, I think anyone would really like this book. Now all I have to do is save enough money to buy Fade. =]

John Green equals one word- AMAZING! I love all of his book. He has now become my favorite author ever. Which is a very nice title to have if I do say so myself. Paper Towns was a very well written novel about a very strange but intriguing concept. The more I read this book the more I thought about paper towns, the more I wanted to know. Margo was an excellent character. Very complex at times, but also very simple. Sweet and caring yet self centered. Then there's Q. I'm not sure what exactly can be said about him. He was probably my favorite character. I've always felt that John Green writes amazing male main characters and Paper Towns definitely proved that for me. I think everyone should read this book. Whether you like male main characters or not. Whether you've ever read something by John Green or not. I really think that anyone could enjoy this novel.

    • Rated 5 stars

    Twins
Do they begin in the womb, or somewhere else?

    Kaeleigh and Raeanne.

    Identical on the outside.
But the inside is a different story.

Their father is a judge, their mother a politician.

On the outside they look perfect. Happy.

    Just like Kaeleigh and Raeanne.

No one knows what's under the surface, though.

That's where Kaeleigh and Raeanne's differences show.

The misplaced love of their father goes to Kaeleigh.

The only thing Raeanne sees is her father playing favorites. A game which she is miserably losing at.

Kaeleigh's way of dealing is closing up. Not telling. Not talking about it. Not letting anyone in.

Raeanne does things her own way. Sex. Drugs. Alcohol.

It soon shows that these sisters can't handle things the way they want.

    They can't control it themselves.

One has to save the other.

    But who?

OMG! This book was nothing like I expected! Ellen Hopkins is a brilliant writer! When I got to the end of the book all I could think was whoa!
Close to the end of the book I thought I knew what was going on, what was happening. But I soon found out that I had no clue. I've only read Impulse by Mrs. Hopkins but I think that this book surpassed that. I love the way she writes. To me it seemed like she weaved all of the problems from her previous book into this one. Well some of them.

    Cutting & Suicide- Impulse
Drugs & Sex- Crank and Glass

I know I'm leaving some others out. But I think you get the point. I love when author's do this, but I think that Ellen Hopkins has a special was of doing it. SURPRISE. I can't wait to read the other books but Ellen and buy Tricks when it comes out.

  • Thirteen Reasons Why
    • Rated 5 stars

The first love of Clay Jensen has recorded her last words.

One day after school, Clay returns home to find a mysterious box sitting on his porch.

His name is on it but there's no return address.

When he opens it he finds seven cassette tapes.

Recorded by his crush and classmate, Hannah Baker, who committed suicide two weeks before.

On the tapes, Hannah's voice tells that there are 13 reasons why she killed herself.

    There's people. There's stories. There's Clay.

He still blames himself for not being able to save Hannah from herself even after two weeks has past.

But as Clay listens to the tapes, he figures out what all the rumors did to Hannah's life. All of the lies. All of the hate.

Clay Jensen realizes that his name is on the list of the 13 reason for a different reason.

Hannah becomes his guide. To her pain. To her sorrow.

Clay has to face the truth about Hannah's life. How he effected her.

    How he left her.

I really loved this book. I read it in about one night. I could not put it down no matter how hard I tried. All of the different stories had so much depth to them. They were so intriguing, so inviting. I wanted to know how everyone fit together. How everything effected Hannah. But also how Clay played a role. And maybe how much I could relate to Hannah. Even though she was a fictional character. I actually found myself relating to her more then I probably should have. I could also figure out where the other people in my life could fit into the story. That's probably a bad thing but oh well. Anyway! Back to the story. I think that everyone should read this. Yes the material is graphic in a few places. Yes the story line is a sensitive subject. Yes I cried. But still read this amazing book. Which is the debut novel from Jay Asher.

Zoey Redbird has finally settled in to the House of Night. She finally feels at home somewhere. Even though she still has a Mark that sets her apart from everyone else she still feels excepted and loved.

Zoey even got chosen as the leader of the Dark Daughters and Sons. She's also in training to become a High Priestess. A new boyfriend is in the mix too, well actually two.

Then one of the most unthinkable things happens. Human teens are being killed and no one knows who's doing it. But soon the evidence of the crimes starts to lead people to think that the House of Night is a part of it.

The humans from Zoey's old life seem to be the people being targeted. She soon starts to notice that the special powers given to her by the Goddess Nyx, may just be a curse more then a blessing, when they end up hurting the people she loves the most.

When Zoey needs the people she loves , a death happens that crushes her and her friends. They can't believe what happened but Zoey may be hiding something that can save the dead.

Zoey Redbird must find enough courage in herself to face a betrayal that can crush her soul and her heart. It also might change everything that she's ever thought she's known about the House of Night and the people she use to trust there and the people she didn't use to trust until now.

This has to be the most amazing series I've ever read. It pulls you in from the first sentence. It's like a never ending roller coaster ride. Anyone should read this series no matter if they like vampires. This series is written beautifully. It's a joy to read that everyone should experience.
I can't wait to read Chosen.

  • Before I Die
    • Rated 5 stars

Everyone has to die. We all know it.

With only a few months left to live, sixteen year old Tessa knows that better then most.

After finding out she was going to die she made a list. Ten thing she wants to do before she dies. Number one is...sex. And the list starts tonight. As the book progresses and Tessa gets sicker things on the list change and things get added.

But Tessa soon finds out that getting what she wants isn't as easy as she thought. And getting what you want doesn't always give you what you need. But most importantly that unexpected things sometimes become the most important and most special.

I love this book. Tessa seemed to find herself and what she truly wanted throughout out the book. She found love in the most unexpected place. And she found happiness. To get over the fact that she was going to die and she couldn't do any thing about it. Tessa helped her best friend and her parents and made it a little easier for her little brother to cope with her death when she did die. But the best part, that you think is going to be the saddest (which was sad...i cried) was when she died. She died at home with the people who loved and cared for her the most. And no one could ask for anything more then that.

"Schuyler Van Allen wants an explanation for the mysterious deaths of young Blue Bloods. With her best friend, Oliver, Schuyler travels to Italy in the hope of finding the one man who can help-her grandfather. Meanwhile, back in New York, preparations are feverishly under way for the Four Hundred Ball, an exclusive gala hosted by the city's wealthy, powerful, and unhuman-a true Blue Blood affair.

But it's the after-party, a masquerade ball thrown by the cunning Mimi Force, that the real danger lurks. Hidden behind the masks is a revelation that will forever change the course of a young vampire's destiny.

Rich with glamour, attitude, and vampire lore, this second installment in the Blue Bloods saga will leave readers thirsting for more."

I loved this book. I thought that the second one couldn't be better than the first but I was wrong. I think this is my new favorite series!

  • Blue Bloods
    • Rated 5 stars

Schuyler Van Allen has never fit in at Duchesne, her prestigious New York City private school. She prefers baggy, vintage clothes to the Prada and pearls worn by her classmates. But when she turns fifteen, Schuyler's life changes dramatically. The death of a popular schoolmate haunts her in unexpected ways. And strangest of all, Jack Force, the most popular boy in school, is showing a sudden interest in her.

Once an outcast, Schuyler is thrust into Manhattan's most exclusive social circle. Its members are the powerful, the wealthy, and-as Schuyler soon discovers-the unhuman. They are Blue Bloods, an ancient group of vampires, and for centuries they've been invincible. Now someone is preying on this elite group, and Schuyler wants to find out the truth. But is she the most vulnerable of them all?"

I love vampire books but I thought that I wouldn't like this one because it's so different than usual but I was wrong. I think that I like this series ever more because it's so different.
