did you like julie & julia?
I tried and tried to like White Teeth, I wanted to call you so you could give me encouragement. Why did you like it, Hol?
Oh and i'm just finishing up the book Darkness at Noon which is a fiction book about an old guard communist who is arrested in Stalinist Soviet Union. Its excellent.
Hmmm. Well its not that unknown but E. Annie Proux's book The Shipping News was different but I loved it. But since the movie came out if may be well known now. Motherless Brooklyn by Jonathan Lethem is pretty cool too. Its a crime noir a la Raymond Chandler...which is not usually my thing...but it's told from the perspective of a guy with Tourette's syndrome so its a really freaking interesting concept. I'll try to think of some others...i'll peruse my bookshelf at home.
Hmmm if they've read pretty much everything that's kind of tough...are there any criteria? I assume it has to be fiction?
hello H,what are you reading NOW.and do you want to borrow Dear Diary?
yes, neon bible was a disappointment.
i love conf. of dunces. i see there's a book out by one of the author's friends that digs into the relationship between o'toole and his mother. hmm. sounds juicy. jw
